Whisky Should Be Interesting, Not Intimidating
There are thousands of whiskies out there, spanning different countries, distilleries, casks and styles. Knowing where to begin can sometimes be the hardest part.
We believe whisky is best discovered through experience. Tasting things side by side, understanding what makes them different, sharing a few opinions and occasionally finding something completely unexpected. That sense of discovery sits at the heart of everything we create.
How did it start?
Ethed Collective started from Edwin’s own curiosity about whisky and a simple problem: there were so many bottles he wanted to try, but buying a full bottle every time just didn’t make sense.
He started looking for a better way to explore different whiskies side by side, but most tasting sets felt more like a collection of samples than a proper experience. So he began putting together his own selections, choosing whiskies that had a reason to be tasted together and building a story around each one.
What started as a personal way to discover more whisky slowly grew into Ethed Collective, with the same idea still at its core today, to make whisky easier to explore, more interesting to talk about, and more fun to enjoy.
What Ethed Collective is today
Today, Ethed has grown beyond tasting sets. We create whisky experiences for companies, private groups and curious drinkers, from intimate guided tastings to large-scale corporate activations, personalised blending experiences and discovery bars.
Rather than simply choosing a few good bottles, we build each experience around an idea. It could be a journey around the whisky world, an exploration of independent bottlers, a comparison of cask styles or an opportunity to create your own blend.
Whatever the format, the philosophy remains the same: interesting whisky, thoughtfully curated and presented in a way that makes people want to explore.
